Glossary/Credit system

Credit system — definition

A credit system tracks give-and-receive balance in an exchange marketplace. On ProofSwap, helping another founder and getting verified earns a credit; listing another project (after the free first project) or receiving proof spends credits. Credits make reciprocity measurable instead of relying on goodwill alone.

Why it matters for indie developers

Open “I’ll tweet you if you tweet me” threads collapse when one side flakes. Credits create a fair queue: you cannot endlessly take without giving.

New users start at zero credits and get one free project. After that, credits come from real verified help — which is exactly the behavior the network needs to stay healthy.
